Pastor Armor Bearer Or Slaves?

ARMOR-BEARER WORKSHOP – SISTER LIBERTY’S TAKE

This guy told on himself within the first minute of the “workshop”. He said that this was “Gonna be a little less scriptural, but a lot more practical”. TRANSLATION: This workshop is not based off of scripture, but off what I want you to do for me. To the impressionable Churchianity Christian…serving your pastor is equated to serving God. He exhorts the attendees that “The Armor-Bearer represents Him” (the pastor). Not ONCE does he talk about representing Christ. Unbelievable arrogance!

It is startling to me the sense of entitlement that is being taught here. He talks about the armor-bearer carrying bibles and water, washing cars, babysitting, and accompanying the pastor 24/7. For the cliff-note Christian he’s dangling the carrot of “more access to me” before their eyes…enticing them to believe that the closer they are to their “pastor”; the closer they are to God. This smacks of idolatry.

But the comment that startled me the most was when he admitted that when he himself was an armor-bearer…he never left his pastor alone; and it caused problems in his marriage. Duuhhhh…you think?! Genesis 2:24 says, “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh”. How can a man be united with his wife, if he won’t leave his so-called “spiritual father’s” side?

A word to the brothers: single and married: There is nothing attractive or sexy to a woman about her man spending all his time running after another man, let alone a pastor. So for all you armor-bearers out there that fit the above-mentioned description, please pass your job responsibilities off to the first lady, and take your boo out on a date

Pastor jailed for trafficking African child ‘slaves’

A church pastor has been jailed for 11 and a half years after being found guilty of trafficking children into the UK for use as domestic “slaves” at her home in Barking, east London.

Lucy Adeniji brought two children and a 21-year-old woman to the UK from Africa illegally and used them as servants.

She was convicted of 17 different counts at Isleworth Crown Court.

The mother-of-five is the first person to be jailed for trafficking children into the UK for domestic servitude.

In a case that has been likened to modern-day slavery, Adeniji smuggled the three victims into Britain on false passports, and used them as servants at her home in Ray Gardens, Barking.

An illegal immigrant herself, Adeniji, 44 – originally from Nigeria – had told the victims’ parents they would have a better life in the UK, but instead viciously beat them if they failed to please her.

Benefits inquiry

The abuse only came to light when one of the victims escaped from Adeniji’s home after being beaten.

Adeniji was convicted last month of assault, child cruelty and facilitating illegal entry into the UK of a child.

She also admitted six counts of obtaining false passports for herself and her own children and two counts of facilitating illegal entry.

Adeniji faces a separate investigation into money she claimed in benefits for her own children.

Det Insp Gordon Valentine, of the Metropolitan Police’s Operation Paladin – which targets child trafficking – said the case could be the tip of the iceberg.

“The people who are using this form of slavery in their households know it is wrong,” he said.

“This case is very important because it shows victims that we can have successful prosecutions and that they can find justice.”

The case has echoes of the maltreatment of Victoria Climbié who died at the hands of her guardian, Marie Therese Kouao. She and her boyfriend Carl Manning were found guilty of Victoria’s murder in 2003

Nigerian Couple In Texas Sentenced to 20 Years for Enslaving a Fellow Nigerian!

A US federal judge sentenced a Texas couple Friday for forcing a widowed Nigerian mother of six to serve in domestic servitude, holding her as a slave for over eight years.

Prosecutors said the victim was recruited in Nigeria and lured to the United States with promises she would receive a salary and child support. In the end, she only received about 300 dollars for her years of work.

Upon the woman’s arrival in the United States, Emmanuel and Ngozi Nnaji allegedly confiscated her passport, isolated her in their home and forced her to work long hours with virtually no pay.
Court documents also showed that Emmanuel Nnaji, 50, sexually assaulted the victim and that the couple refused to grant her request to return to Nigeria. A Catholic priest eventually rescued her from the ordeal.
During her years of servitude, the woman is said to have cared for the Nnaji’s children day and night, and cooked and cleaned without a single day off.
She was also prohibited from leaving the home without supervision, speaking with her children on the phone unsupervised and from making friends or speaking with the Nnaji’s friends.
US District Court Judge John McBryde sentenced Emmanuel Nnaji, a naturalized US citizen, to 20 years in prison. His 40-year-old wife, a Nigerian citizen, was sentenced to nine years behind bars. The couple was also ordered to pay 305,957.60 dollars in restitution.
The seven-count indictment handed down against them in February included charges the couple committed and sought to commit forced labor, harbored and sought to harbor a foreigner for financial gain, placed the victim in servitude and made false statements to an FBI agent.
“The involuntary servitude and mistreatment that this victim endured is intolerable in a nation founded on freedom and individual rights,” Assistant Attorney General Thomas Perez said in a statement, as he condemned this example of exploiting “vulnerable victims” for “modern day slavery.”
FBI Special Agent in Charge Robert Casey Jr said “the sentencing in this case sends a strong message to those who are engaged in this heinous form of modern day slavery that this practice will not be tolerated in our community.”
