The Law of choice, you choose life or death!

Deuteronomy 30:19 (KJV)
19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

Deuteronomy 30:19 (NLT)
19 “Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live!

This is the basis of all my teachings.

Experts: Christian militia part of growing trend! You can not blame it on a Afro American Persident: These nuts have always been lurking around!

The actions of the Christian militia group raided in Michigan are part of a growing trend of militant activity across the U.S. because of the weak economy and an African-American president, experts and a civil rights group said today.

Hutaree, a militia based in Lenawee County, allegedly planned an uprising against the U.S. government by plotting to murder police.

“I don’t think this is the last we’re going to see of these groups,” said Michael Barkun, a professor of political science at Syracuse University who studies religious violence and extremism. “The number of such groups has increased fairly dramatically in the last couple of years.”

The number of extremist anti-government groups and militias grew from 149 in 2008 to 512 in 2009, said Heidi Beirich, director of research at the Southern Poverty Law Center, a civil groups that monitors extremism.

“That is a lot of change in a short period of time,” Beirich said.

She said factors include the poor economy and demographic changes in the country’s racial and ethnic composition — symbolized by an African American in the White House and a female House Speaker, Nancy Pelosi. Both are Democrats and seen by some as pushing for bigger government that will diminish their freedom.

“The country is becoming more diverse,” Beirich said. “Some people find it hard to handle … these are extreme stressors for people.”

Hutaree — which means “Christian warrior” — is a group based in Lenawee County that federal prosecutors describe as “an anti-government extremist organization which advocates against local, state, and federal law enforcement officials.”

The group’s members hoped that killing law enforcement would lead to “a more widespread uprising against the government,” the indictment reads.

Professor Barkun said the group is a millennialist group that “seems to be preparing for warfare in the end of times against what they see as the forces of the antichrist. They regard that struggle as imminent. …They apparently believe that the saved will have to fight through the tribulations against the forces of the antichrist.”

The group sees themselves as “being engaged in combat against the forces of evil,” he said.

To Hutaree, the antichrist is the government.

Beirich said that Hutaree was not isolated from other militias, noting that it had more than 363 friends on My Space, including militias in Ohio, Kentucky and Michigan.

“They were part of the broader militia movement,” she said.

But one militia leader in Michigan said Hutaree was not connected to them in any way, describing Hutaree as a fringe cult.

“They more closely fit the definition of a cult,” said Michael Lackomar, with the Southeastern Michigan Volunteer Militia and michiganmilitia.com. “They believe the world is about to end according to how it was written in the Bible, and their job is to stand up and clear the way for Jesus and fight along side him against the forces of darkness.”

Lackomar said, “A lot of people are upset at an ever growing government that is overreaching.”

But he added that his militia is not associated with Hutaree “in any way, shape, or form.”

He said their plans to attack law enforcement are “despicable.”

Lackomar said that during the federal raid, a member of Hutaree attempted to seek the help of another militia member associated with Lackomar’s group. But the man told the Hutaree member he should turn himself in and didn’t help him, Lackomar said.

“You got to leave. I can’t help you,” the militia member told the Hutaree member, Lackomar said.

Televangelist’s ex-husband seeks new wife on Web

DULUTH, Ga. (AP) — The ex-husband of national televangelist Juanita Bynum, who divorced after a parking lot fight between the two landed him in jail, plans to take his search for a new wife to the Internet with videos featuring dating tips and what he’s looking for in a mate.

Thomas W. Weeks III, a minister who runs an Atlanta-area church and is known to his followers as Bishop Weeks, said the 10-episode series will be available starting Tuesday on his Web site.

Excerpts available Friday included Weeks, 41, discussing with aides what he should look for in his third wife.

The group concludes the woman should be at least 25 years old but “with special exemptions for 21 and up if they are classy,” Weeks said. She also must want to have children with him.

“This woman has to be very discerning, and very intimate, and very social and very sensual,” Weeks says, laughing. “And on the ministry side she has to be very diverse. She can’t be ugly.”

Bynum, 49, filed for divorce after the couple had an August, 2007, fight in an Atlanta hotel parking lot that landed Weeks in jail on charges that he pushed, choked and beat Bynum.

He pleaded guilty to assaulting her, is serving three years’ probation and has completed court ordered community service and anger management counseling.

In a video on the Web site of his Duluth-based church, Global Destiny International Ministries, Weeks said thousands of people have been writing him to ask about his plans as a newly single man.

He said he wants to give people a Christian perspective on dating.

“Who is going to be the next Mrs. Weeks? Well, God knows,” Weeks said. In the video, he asks viewers to e-mail him dating advice.

Messages left for Weeks at the church were not returned Friday morning. Bynum’s Los Angeles-based publicist also did not return calls.

If Weeks does find love, his attorney Randy Kessler told The Associated Press Friday, “I’d probably do the prenup for free.”

Who you gonna vote for?

I would never vote for anyone who tries to get the local librarian to ban books that she, Sarah Palin, doesn’t like passages in and then attempts to get the librarian fired; I would never vote for anyone that says that God tells her what to do a la the idiot Bush; I would never vote for anyone who would not support a woman’s choice on what to do with her body; I would never vote for anyone who is openly supported by the Evangelical right with their myopic mission; I would never support anyone who pooh-poohs that value of sex education, etc, etc, etc,

Sarah Palin is a shrewd small town politician with big dreams… she’s getting them… and I don’t think she much cares about her family if they get beaten down in the pathway to reach for them. This woman isn’t squeaky clean and there are lots of questions, valid questions about her.

To me, she’s a Trojan Horse, a Pit Bull with Lipstick and a Zealot…. the last thing this country needs is more right wing, religious and self-serving models… hasn’t anyone learned their lessons with Cheney and Bush?

Gov. Palin: She’s against choice

The Desert Sun

How can any American, and women, believe in liberty and justice for all and not support “choice” for women, even in the event of rape or incest. Well, Sarah Palin does not want women to have that choice.

But, if you only listened to her speech last week you would not know where she stands on several key issues.

She does not want us to believe that humans contribute to global warming. Speaking about climate change she said “I’m not one though who would attribute it to being manmade.” She also wants to teach creationism in public schools. (Did she take biology in school?)

She attempted to ban books at her local library and when not given full support to do so she threatened to fire the librarian. Her inauguration was even sponsored by BP.

Wake up America! What we saw on Wednesday night was another Karl Rove-style political attack speech, another far right, anti-science ideologue.

We need an “inclusive” America moving forward. We need Obama & Biden!
